Ohio County Healthcare – New Surgery Center

Wehr Constructors was hired by Ohio County Hospital as the construction manager to build a surgery center addition to the existing county-owned facility in a rural area. This was a state-of-the-art facility unique to this area because it provided specialty physicians and procedure capabilities locally to a community that would normally have to drive nearly an hour otherwise.

The 27,000-square-foot surgery center houses three operating rooms, one procedure room, two endoscopic procedure rooms, sixteen prep and recovery rooms, one isolation recovery room, six recovery bays, a Central Sterile Unit, patient registration, and visitor waiting room.
