Miracle League of Louisville

This new non-profit construction of the Miracle League of Louisville is located at Fern Creek Park in Louisville, KY. The Miracle League of Louisville is a baseball league for children with physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities. The project included, a Miracle League field that features a specially designed rubberized surface that helps prevent injuries and accommodate wheelchairs, walkers and other devices. It also allows sufficient cushioning to aid in injury prevention should a player fall. The field and dugouts are barrier-free and completely flat. The dugouts are open and allow players and parents 360° visibility at all times. The playground is made with the same cushioning pad to prevent injuries. In addition, the playground provides a wheelchair accessible zip line and an open-concept to allow children to play more freely within the area.
