Project Description

Since 2009, Wehr Constructors has served as Construction Manager on the campus expansion and renovation project at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Construction, which began during the summer of 2010, includes a new 900 seat, 21,000 square foot sanctuary and a complete overhaul of the existing site layout. The existing church, administration offices and gymnasium are being removed to make way for expanded site development, parking, an exterior courtyard and a prayer garden.

Plans also include a complete overhaul of the existing school wing into new administration offices, fellowship hall and meeting space.

Project Unique Characteristics

  • Incorporating and enhancing the project design and construction through the use of Built of Living Stones as a daily guideline
  • Redeveloping existing church property to house five smaller parishes
  • Working with JRA to ensure the project stays within the parish’s tight construction budget
