Project Description
Wehr Constructors provided construction management services for two floors being added to the Emergency Department Building. The two new floors added 36,000 square feet of new ICU rooms and support services.

Project Unique Characteristics

• The new floors were added over existing ICU patient rooms on the third floor that remained in operation during construction. Included in the scope of this project was the remodeling of the third floor. All utility connections for the new floors took place above the third floor ceilings.
• Renovation was phased one-half of a floor at a time, leaving the other half in operation, while ensuring that there was no intermingling of construction activity with the hospital functions.
