Henry County High School Construction Project in New Castle, Kentucky

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Wehr Constructors was tasked to renovate 20,000 sq. ft. and build a new 35,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing Henry County High School and keep school operations intact and minimize disruptions during construction. The addition included a new state of the art kitchen/cafeteria, new practice gym, corridor with concessions for existing gymnasium, all new administration offices, new agricultural classroom, new media center, several new classrooms, and 400 seat auditorium. Renovation of the existing school including new floors, ceilings, paint and double tiered lockers was completed during summer break. The site was renovated adding several needed parking slots, new parent and bus drop off, and traffic flow pattern. This site work was completed over the summer months to avoid disruption to the schools daily activities.
