Project Description

Wehr Constructors was tasked to renovate 20,000 sq. ft. and build a new 35,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing Henry County High School. The addition included a new state of the art kitchen/cafeteria, new practice gym, corridor with concessions for existing gymnasium, all new administration offices, new agricultural classroom, new media center, several new classrooms, 400 seat auditorium, and a geothermal heating and cooling system.

Unique Characteristics

• No interruptions of school operations during any stage of the project.
• Creation of additional parking spaces, bus drop off and a new traffic flow pattern.
• Completion of existing school renovations – including new floors, ceilings, paint and double tiered lockers – took place during summer break.
