Project Description
Wehr Constructors provided full construction management, including pre-construction services, for the additions and renovations to the Cabbage Patch Settlement House in the historic area of Old Louisville.
The project included a new 20,000 sq. ft. two-story addition with classrooms, multipurpose rooms, offices, kitchen, and four-bay garage. It also included complete renovation of their existing gym and multiple children’s areas.
Project Unique Characteristics
- Requirement that the new buildings be connected to four historic houses built in the early 1900’s.
- Buildings and corridor connection to these houses regulated by the Historical Society.
- Very limited back alley access between nearby residential houses and Cabbage Patch’s buildings.
